“if ony i could…”

…what? and why can’t you? who’s running this show, anyway?

Let’s face it, change is hard.  There are many, many reasons – including cultural and biological – why we “know what to do, but don’t do it anyway”.  There is a science to changing habits; there is also a process to defining and implementing change on a personal level, to increasing effectiveness in our lives, to improving relationships.  especially when we’re trying to get other people to change!

Be the author of your change, not an actor in someone else’s script.  If you know (or have been “advised”!) your professional performance needs some help, know why you are on board with the change.  If you are approaching a transition in your life (Retirement?  A career change?  A “new normal”?), consider the context and your own ultimate narrative.  What should the next chapter look like?  How does the plot unwind?

WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE “WHY”

Connecting with our own priorities and values paves the path.
